ASA24 includes a Researcher Website and a Respondent Website:
ASA24 RESEARCHER WEBSITE
The ASA24 Researcher Website, available in English, allows researchers, clinicians, and educators to register a study, set study parameters, manage study logistics, and obtain analytic output files.
The Website allows Researchers to set the following options for ASA24-Canada:
ASA24-CANADA RESPONDENT WEBSITE
The ASA24-Canada Respondent Website is used to collect dietary data from research study participants or individuals. The Respondent Website has the same look and feel as the US version of the tool, but is customized with foods and drinks specific to the Canadian food supply and uses metric measurements for portion size estimation.
Through the website, Respondents are guided through a self-administered, 24-hour dietary recall interview using a modified version of the United States Department of Agriculture’s Automated Multiple-Pass Method (AMPM). The 24-hour recall period can be set by Researchers to be from midnight-to-midnight or the past 24 hours (from the point of initial Respondent login). The respondent website can also be used to complete a food record.
The Respondent Website does not provide direct feedback to Respondents. Instead, Researchers can obtain analysis files from the Researcher Website and contact Respondents with any findings they choose to share.
